Peace Be With You
“Reason is in fact the path to faith, and faith takes over when reason can say no more.”
Scripture Reading: John 20:19-31
Thomas gets a bad rap. It’s easy now to look back at his doubting self and criticize him for not immediately recognizing the man who would have a 2000-year-and-counting-long faith spring up honoring him. But giving him the benefit of his doubts and looking at Jesus from Thomas’s point of view, we’re able to see a little more clearly. Thomas was no worse than we often are. Who among us has not doubted, more than once? This week, take some time to go against the grain of certainty and embrace your doubts. God can handle it. Let those doubts drive you closer to his mystery.
Ask questions, share thoughts and wrestle together about your experiences from the material this week.
