Hearing the Shepherd’s Voice
“We live in a world where groups close up, thinking that they and their traditions are the best. They oppose others, either to bring them to the so-called truth or to take more land. It’s the reality of history. Jesus entered into this world to love people as they are.”
Scripture Reading: John 10:1-10
It’s far too easy to find reasons not to love people—especially the ones who get on our nerves. Unfortunately, that’s just a kind of theft. Jesus wants to give everyone—including you and the ones you don’t get along with—a rich and satisfying life. He wants to love all of us as we are. So here’s a challenge: choose just one person that seems difficult to love and just love them as they are, not as you wish they were. Try it for a week and see what happens.
